Choosing from the Many Color Laser Printers

Color laser printers in general haven't evolved so much in regards to their overall look and primary functionality. If you check out the local electronic stores, you will still be amazed at the different laser printers being sold out there.
However, bear in mind that other devices and software applications are evolving.

Graphics applications are evolving and digital cameras are slowly rising in megapixel count while becoming more affordable than ever.

To appreciate the high megapixel counts on paper, you will need a color laser printer that can print phenomenal quality on their RAW formats.

Of course the higher the quality means the longer it will take to print so getting a faster printer will help as well. Here are some of the printers that may fit the bill.

Samsung CLP-31 5W

The Samsung CLP-315W has been out for several months now and undoubtedly looks very sleek with its black finish making it an ideal matching to any modern office desk compared to the other color laser printers that you may find.

The printing speed is one of its weaknesses at around 4 pages per minute in full color (17ppm black and white) so be sure to pass this up if you need something that prints full-color documents and photos faster.

However, this printer gets some points for being very to use whether for home use or workgroup use. The real strength is its ability to print 2400 x 600 resolution images.

This combined with its wide support for Wi-Fi and a number of media types including standard paper along with transparent paper, postcards, and other sizes ranging from 3 x 6.3 inches to legal size make the Samsung CLP-315W a worthy choice.

Konica Minolta Magicolor 5440

The Konica Minolta Magicolor 5440 is one of the faster color laser printers out there printing at an impressive 27 pages per minute in black and white and in color as well.
It is by far one of the older models out there too so you should be able to score some great deals in sites like Amazon.com.

Just bear in mind that this color laser printer is quite bulky weighing around 90 pounds which is twice the weight as the Samsung CLP-315W.

Fortunately, it still manages to print 2400 x 600 dpi documents and the paper input can hold around 600 sheets.

2-sided printing is also allowed and has some nifty extras such as a USB port for camera connectivity and an Ethernet port for network connectivity.

Brother HL-4070CDW

The Brother HL-4070CDW has been around for some time as well and lies in the middle of the previous two models as it has some features found in both models.

Like the other two, the HL-4070CDW can print 2400 x 600 dpi content for good quality.

The speed is pretty good at 21 ppm whether there is color or not.

It is a bit lighter than the Konica weighing nearly 80 pounds so it is still lighter than the Samsung.

It is very friendly with connection types though with support for both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It also has a built-in duplexer for printing both sides of a paper at once.

Finally, there is PictBridge and USB allowing many different ways to print documents from sources even without PCs.
